There is something about the “wedding dress code” that is so distinctive and unlike any other style of dressing. Even those with minimal interest in fashion can’t help but pull on their glad rags and embrace the spirit of it.
When it comes to weddings I’m a dress girl. There is something lovely about having a new dress to help celebrate your friend or family member’s special day. I’ve picked three of my favourite style of dresses which will have you standing out for all the right reasons, without overshadowing the bride!
I’ve always loved a bit of lace and thanks to Self Portrait, lace dresses are all over the place at the moment. If you’re attending a mass of weddings this season, it’s totally understandable that you don’t want to be spending huge amounts on a dress, especially if you want something different for each wedding. This lace number came from New Look and was an absolute bargain. It just goes to show you don’t have to break the bank to find something beautiful.
Needle & Thread
I am a huge fan of Needle & Thread and I can’t think of a better brand to find a dress for a wedding. Their beautiful embellishment and embroidery is second to none. They have so many different styles, colours and shapes to suit your look, so if you’re not a fan of this pinafore style dress, there is plenty more to choose from. Needle & Thread should definitely be your first port of call when looking for a wedding outfit.
Weddings are a great excuse to go the full hog and wear a full-length dress. I don’t know about you but I so rarely get the opportunity to go all out that when I do, I cease the moment. There’s something about being dressed in full length that makes any fully grown woman feel like a princess. This pink embroidered number has those perfect summer wedding vibes.
