The Knitwear of All Knitwear

My favourite thing about the colder months is getting to wrap up in layers and layers of gorgeous knitwear.  After years of hunting around I’ve finally found the knitwear brand to beat all others!

The silver lining to this horribly cold weather is getting to wear knitwear.  I am a knitwear fanatic!  Over the years I’ve done my fair share of research and purchased ample pieces from the affordable to the vastly overpriced.  Although happily, it all paid off when I discovered I Love Mr Mittens, who without a shadow of a doubt is the best for beautifully crafted, high quality knitwear.

They’re an Australian brand (all the best brands seem to be at the moment!), who have built up a cult following.  The founder, Stéphanie Caulier describes I Love Mr Mittens as not just being a fashion brand but a label based upon community and sustainability whilst maintaining timeless aesthetics.  At the center of her brand is her “Heartworking” philosophy which recognises the skill’s of each of her knitters and the hard wok that goes into handknitting each of her garments.

What makes I Love Mr Mittens stand out from the crowd is their ability to put a modern and unique twist on their all designs.  Whether it be their oversized cardigan (seen here in black), cropped cable knit jumper (seen here in powder blue) or their knitted bomber (seen here in khaki), everything is gorgeous and so easy to wear.  The attention to detail and form of the garments really make these pieces unlike any other.

Hands down my favourite style is the cable bomber.  I’ve worn mine to absolute death and desperate to treat myself to a second one.

The only downsides to I Love Mr Mittens is their UK stockists are very limited and it is on the pricey side.  Although trust me, this is worth saving your pennies for!  If you are tempted by one, Icon AU and Matches Fashion have a limited selection.  Alternatively, you can buy directly from their website but you will be subject to import duties which can tot up so just be careful.  Like all good things, they’re quite hard to come by!
