In London, we don’t get much of a summer, so I’ve learned to make the most out of my summer wardrobe by simply adding a few winter essentials to keep me warm on the go.
So the first and most important thing is to wear a pair of over the knee boots. These have been popular for about three seasons now, but they keep coming back so it’s worth investing in a pair that you really like as you can wear them again and again.
Gone are the days of over the knee boots looking like something out of Pretty Little Thing, they are stylish, cool and edgy and can be worn a number of different ways.
I’ve teamed my peep toe over the knee boots with a pair of denim shorts and an off the shoulder top. You could easily add a leather jacket, or a long line coat for days when it’s really cold.
What I really like about this seasons over the knee boots is the fact that they come in so many different colours. From light nudes and beiges, to blue velvet and dark red suede. Whatever your style, there’s something to suit you. As well as this, there are a range of different style from flat, mid heels and high heels.
I remember buying my first pair of over the knee boots from Stuart Weitzman about five years ago and I still wear them to this day. They are flat with suede on the front and stretch material on the back for the ultimate snug fit.
The great thing about over the knee boots is that you can also wear them with trousers tucked inside, dresses, shorts, the list goes on. As long as you feel confident wearing them you’re sure to turn a few heads.
